The Aqua Treatment Service ATS1-805 Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a 16 Watt germicidal water treatment bulb that has a total length of 14.06″ and an arc length of 11.02″. The UVC bulb is a compatible replacement for the following UVC system models:
- DWS-6
- DWS-7
- DWSW-6
- SE-7
The light bulb uses the UVC technology to destroy bacteria, molds, virus, yeast and protozoa present in the water. It emits a short wavelength of 253.7nm that acts on the genetics of the microorganisms and makes them harmless. The light bulb comes with a ceramic base material and is set in non ozone glass type. The replacement bulb from CureUV is highly compatible with germicidal OEM air, and water disinfection filter, UV sanitizer and ultraviolet purifiers.
Since the light bulbs are intended to destroy microorganisms it is necessary to schedule replacement of the bulbs annually to ensure efficiency of the system.
