The liner’s main purpose is to reflect UV curable energy. The liner enables higher UV wavelength to pass through it. The main function of the reflectors is that it reflects visible light and allows infrared radiation to pass. The illuminated object is heated less as the infrared radiation of the light beam is reduced.
The UV reflectors are responsible for over 70% of the lamps curing power. This is why we always recommend that you change the reflectors at every bulb change-out. This will increase the curing consistency, reduce future maintenance and extend life of the ultraviolet bulb.
