The quartz plate filter exceeds OEM standards of UV curing performance and undergoes strict quality control measures. While the ordinary glass plate may not be capable of withstanding high temperatures in a curing lamp unit, a quartz plate works as an efficient filter between the lamp and the system. There are studies which show that a quartz plate may prevent grime, dirt and contaminants from building up in the lamp.
Replacement lamps dry or cure inks and coatings in graphics and sign printing. The quartz plate works as a filter and does not absorb the UV rays unlike ordinary glass plate. It reradiates rays at a temperature lower than the lamp. It is important to clean the plate periodically to prevent debris from building up and to keep the lamp working in good condition.
