Our Aqua Ultraviolet A20200 Replacement UVC bulb is a 200 watts amalgam lamp that provides germicidal ultraviolet higher UVC output and a larger temperature range in which the light remains operational through a technology that regulates the mercury vapor pressure in the lamp, without sacrificing efficiency or lamp life.
This UVC bulb measures 44.09 inches and unlike standard lamps, the mercury is not left free within the lamp, but is fixed to gold amalgam spots along the axis of the quartz tube. The mercury vapor pressure and the ultraviolet output remain constant, so the amalgam lamp is unaffected by changing ambient air or water temperatures and its ultraviolet output remains stable over a large temperature range. Amalgam UV bulbs are the latest ultraviolet lamp technology and are the subject of ongoing technical development and improvement.
