Our CureUV brand Replacement UVC Light Bulb for Watts WUV12 UV is a 4-pin on a single-end light bulb that has a total length of 33.19″ and an arc length of 30.12″. The replacement UVC light bulb kills and sanitizes bacteria, yeast, viruses, and pathogens in water. It is compatible with OEM water disinfection filters, sanitizers, and UV purifiers. The light bulb emits a peak UV output of 253.7nm. The four-pin, single-ended, 44 Watt bulb must be replaced annually for better performance. The replacement light bulb is eco-friendly and cost-effective. The short wavelength emitted by the light bulb alters the DNA of the microorganisms to render them harmless.

Do I need shatterproof coating?
Although shatterproof coating can lower the intensity of the UV-C bulb by as much as 15%, it is recommended for applications in which it is crucial to avoid potential glass breakage at all costs. These applications include but are not limited to food processing and medical institutions. However, if glass breakage would be inconvenient but not catastrophic, skipping the costly shatterproof coating is quite alright.
