The Ideal Horizons 40387 Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a 100% compatible to Ideal Horizons germicidal UV Lamp for Model 40387.
The light bulb is capable of destroying bacteria, virus, molds, yeast and other pathogens present in water. It gives you 12 months of worry free use and provides you safe water at all times. The light bulb emits short wavelength of 253.7nm that is capable of destroying the genetics of the microorganisms to render them harmless. The light bulb has a base style of double ended miniature two pin and measures 11.3″ in length. Researchers are of the opinion that the UV method of sterilizing water is a purely physical process. It does not affect the chemistry, pH or taste of water in the process and is a much better option to chemicals and their bi-products.
