This UV Quartz Plate is a guaranteed 100% UV clear quartz replacement plate that exceeds OEM standards of UV curing performance. CureUV’s replacement quartz plate is compatible with the following:

The CureUV quartz plate undergoes strict quality control measures. An ordinary glass plate may not be able to withstand extreme temperatures in a curing lamp unit. This is why a quartz plate is used. It protects lamps from debris and works as a filter between curing system and lamp. Studies show that a quartz plate effectively prevents dirt, grit and contaminants from building up in the lamp.
An important component in the print drying system is the replacement lamp. The UV lamp helps in drying of inks and coatings in graphics and signs, while the quartz plate takes care of the lamp by acting as a filter. A quartz plate is usually placed between the lamp and the substrate and does not absorb the UV rays as ordinary glass plate. It reradiates the rays at a temperature lower than the lamp. You must clean the plate periodically to keep the lamp working in good condition.
