The R-Can Sterilight SP100-HO Compatible Generic Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a 4 Pin Stepped on a Single End germicidal water treatment bulb that has wattage of 15 Watts.
Designed to kill microorganisms by altering their DNA structure, UV-C water treatment is gaining popularity over other methods of water treatments. Since this is a pure physical process and does not alter the chemistry, pH or taste of water, the UV-C method of water treatment is the considered the safest, cheapest and the most effective methods.
This replacement light bulb works well in germicidal OEM water disinfection filters, UV water purifiers and UV sanitizers. It is proven to be effective against bacteria, molds, protozoa and viruses. It has a germ sterilizing power of 10,000 hours that can last for a year after which we recommend that you change the light bulb though it may continue to emit light. It features a peak UV output of 253.7nm, a wavelength that is highly fatal to microorganisms.
