The Siemens LP4070 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a guaranteed compatible UV bulb that is 32 watts and has a single pin on both ends. The UV bulb works well with OEM disinfection filters, UV sanitizers, and water purifiers. The lamp makes use of powerful UV-C light to destroy the genetics of microorganisms such as viruses, protozoa, yeasts, and other harmful pathogens in water. Studies have shown that germicidal light bulbs emit ultraviolet rays at short wavelengths, enabling thorough ultraviolet disinfection.
Since the light bulbs are intended to destroy microorganisms, it is necessary to schedule replacement of the bulbs annually to ensure efficiency of the system. These high-quality lamps can last for approximately 10,000 working hours after which the UV output reduces, although the UV lamp emits bright light.
