The Ultra Dynamics 7001-941 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a 61.88 inch bulb with an average lifespan of up to 10,000 hours. The four pin, single end stepped light bulb has two pins on each level. The lamp makes use of UV-C light to kill bacteria, molds, and viruses present in water. The top-quality fixture is low on mercury and meets environmental demands.
Since the light bulbs are intended to destroy microorganisms, it is necessary to schedule replacement of the bulbs annually to ensure efficiency of the system. These high-quality lamps can last for approximately 10,000 working hours after which the UV output reduces though the UV lamp emits bright light.
The germicidal water treatment bulb has the option of adding a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit.
